Description:
A 3A unregulated linear power supply module with regulated auxiliary outputs. This is esentially an extention of HR17 for applications such as integrated amplifiers that have both power and small signal loads. This module is suitable for input voltages of up to 25V RMS. The component values shown are for ±15V auxiliary outputs. The 0.2" pitch Molex KK headers used for the AC input and unregulated output connections in HR17 have been changed for 0.25" blade terminals. Three pin 0.1" pitch Molex KK headers are used for the regulated outputs.

Cooling:
The regulators are fitted with ABL PPC20P heatsinks that have a thermal resistance of 11°C/W. The thermal dissipation of the regulators is dependent on the current drawn from the auxiliary outputs and the voltage drop across the regulators. The rectifier diodes can dissipate up to 9W with a 3A continuous output.
